The context menu items shown below are available in the AWB types B2B Master, Consol and IATA.

Context menu entries in Master AWBs

Generate carrier AWB number

Create AWB number from stock

To be able to assign an AWB number automatically, a stock with at least one free number must be stored in the master data AIRFREIGHT → CARRIER → AWB stock tab.

  • The carrier AWB stocks are stored with 7 digits in the master data.
  • The eighth digit is defined by the check digit, which is automatically calculated by the program.

Select Generate carrier AWB number.

AWB  types MAWB, CONSOL and IATA

The AWB stock of the airline is addressed, which is entered in the Carrier field on the AWB Main tab.

If more than one active AWB stock is stored for an airline, a window opens in which the corresponding AWB stock can be selected.

Click Accept.

If a CONSOL file does not have an AWB number at the time of HAWB disposition, a query is made as to whether this should be generated automatically from the AWB stock or manually.

AWB type HAWB

For HAWBs, number ranges are stored in the master data AIR FREIGHT → AWB AGENTS.

These are consecutive numbers.

Depending on the AWB agent entered on the AWB Main tab, a different number range can be addressed.

Create AWB number manually

If the AWB No. is selected manually in the F6 menu, a window appears in which the AWB No. can be entered.

Depending on the master data entry, this is done for MAWB numbers with check digit 8-digit or without check digit 7-digit.

When entering the 7-digit AWB number, the program calculates the check digit itself.

For HAWB numbers you enter up to 8 digits manually.

The prefix can also be overwritten.

Carrier AWB number from block reservation

If AWB numbers have been generated for a carrier in the block reservation, there is an additional entry Carrier AWB number from block reservation in the context menu.

In the opened window, select an AWB number by activating the checkbox and clicking the Accept button.

Remove carrier AWB number

On the AWB Main tab and the tabs Additionals and AWB Control it is possible to remove the AWB No. via the context menu.

Select the entry → Remove carrier AWB number.

1. MAWB numbers can be written back to the stock in the process. The following query is made:

  • If the message is confirmed with YES, the removed AWB no. is written back to the carrier's stock, i.e. it is immediately available again to every user and is reassigned when called up via the F6 menu at the airline.
  • If the message is confirmed with NO, the removed AWB no. is not written back to the carrier's stock.
The AWB no. is thus deleted.
The AWB no. should be noted in order to be able to use it manually in another AWB at a later time.
  • Each AWB number can be used only one time in the system → the program checks the numbers directly during the entry and points out an already existing number - with reference to the found file number.

2. HAWB numbers cannot be written back to a stick → they are only removed.

Change carrier AWB number

An AWB number can be changed on the AWB Main tab and the tabs Additionals and AWB Control with the entry Change carrier AWB number.

Security query for AWB number change:

Change MAWB number manually:

This feature should only be used if the AWB no. has been assigned manually and a spelling error has occurred, since the carrier prefix cannot be changed under this menu item.

If the AWB no. is changed, a warning appears that the existing AWB no. will not be written back to the stock.

  • If you confirm the query with No, the change is aborted and the existing AWB no. remains.
  • If you confirm the query with Yes, a window appears in which you can enter the AWB no..
  • No labels
