Shortage of vessel cargo space

If it is difficult to get space on vessels in the Seafreight transport market, several bookings are created for one position, which are later assigned to other orders - namely, when a shipment can be placed on a particular vessel.

In OceanBooking, orders are linked to a file and the feedback from all bookings causes the carrier booking number in the order to be overwritten over and over again: Image Added

There is always only one booking that is active in one order.

If a booking is created from the file or linked to the file, the file number field in the booking header data is filled with the file number.

  • This establishes a link between the position and the booking.
  • If a confirmation from the shipping company for this booking is then imported via the interface, data is automatically transferred to the order (e.g. carrier booking number).

This link can be removed with the context menu entry Remove booking from file: Image Added

Thus, data reported back by the shipping company is no longer included in the position.
