Sending and canceling the ACI data and the ACI amendments are carried out via the context menu Send ACI and Cancel ACI.
Pls use the ACI Consolidation tab for this, as the relevant B/L data for HBLs is also located there and the sending of the close message, which has recently been required by Canadian customs.

Plausibility check for ACI sending

After sending the ACI, there is a check for important fields and a corresponding message before sending takes place.

The ACI Carrier field is mandatory and is also checked for validity.



The carrier code may differ from the SCAC code

The ACI code according to the carrier address can be suggested for this.

  • Add the qualifier [ACICC] to a carrier address on the EDI references sub tab in ADDRESSES.
  • This code will be pre-assigned in the Carrier field on the B/L tab → ACI tab.
  • If the entry in the field differs from the address qualifier [ACICC], the program will issue a corresponding warning upon transmission.


ACI Responses

You may receive the following responses after transmission:

ACI in transmission

This field is filled right after transmission.

Provider OK

Date/time when GeTS/Crimson sent to Canadian Customs.

CA ACI OK


Matching OK

Confirmation from Canadian Customs is confirmed with a green tick and date/time.

This response should arrive within 24 hours.

This field indicates the customs authorities have compared the carrier details with your application.

A green tick indicates that everything is in order.

The reaction time depends on when the carrier sends the ACI details and the customs authorities start the processing.

If Canadian customs authorities have not sent a positive response until the closing for cargo at the port of departure, shipping lines usually do not load the goods!


  • These codes will be implemented as status events in the future.


Cancel ACI

Please wait for a response in the field ACI in transmission before canceling and do not modify the details beforehand!

After the response, you can cancel the ACI via the local menu.

Please await the responses in the fields ACI in cancellation, ACI cancelation Provider OK as well as CA ACI cancel OK before sending a new application.


ACI status codes

Currently, ACI status codes, which are available from Canadian customs, are sent directly from the GeTs application to the sender only by email.
