This button opens a window called Select Fields, from which you can take objects from the order tabs to position them in the mask via drag & drop.

  • Here you will also find objects that may have been removed from the tabs during editing.

  • If all fields from a screen template/table were used in a tab, this screen template is empty.

If you click the Add Fields button, the screen mask will open, in the tab of which you are located.

Using the drop-down menu, you can access fields from other tabs/screens to use them in the mask you are editing.
→ Info: In the mask editor, both the term tab and mask are used in mask editing - it is the same here.

There are the screen masks

  • Maindata

  • Transport

  • Addresses

  • Statistics

  • Additional fields

  • Example templates

  • All fields

  • Addon fields

available.

Screen mask Transport

In this example, the Transport tab is active and the Select Fields window is open.

→ In the upper image, a drop-down field called Screen Mask is highlighted, in which the order tab and its contents can be selected.
→ Here it is possible to transfer objects from the transport tab to the header data tab via drag & drop.

Screen mask Example templates

In the field Screen mask there is also the item Example templates.

  • At this point you can find lines, frames, group frames and headings.

  • The headings match the selected color theme.

The lines can be edited and aligned as follows:

The lines can be edited and aligned as follows:

Lengthen/shorten

A double arrow appears at the end of the line in the direction of the line. Hold the end to shorten or lengthen the line.

Align horizontally/vertically

Just before the end of the line, a double arrow appears opposite the direction of the line. Hold this part and move the line at a 90-degree angle.
As long as you hold and drag the line a rectangle appears. If a rectangle is formed and the mouse pointer is released the line will be rotated 90 degrees.

Change the position of the line

Hold and move the line anywhere other than the ends. It is also possible to align the positions using the toolbar buttons.

Screen mask Additional fields

It is possible to insert additional fields into the order masks.

These fields can be labeled freely and can be filled with any content and saved in the order.

The additional fields can be found in the Select fields window.

Screen mask All fields

Here, all available fields are offered for selection on one screen → even those that do not normally appear on the current order screens.

→ As an example, the container number from Sea Import Customs can now also be used in Seafreight files in the header data.

Only fields of the same area of the database structure can be used in this way.

  • eakopf_t on eakopf_t is possible.

  • eakopf_t on tp_kopf_t does not work!

Screen mask Addon fields

As soon as additional fields have been created and saved, you will find them in the toolbox in the screen mask addon fields.

→ Here the addon fields are available for selection.
→ You can learn how to create them on the Additional mask fields tab.

It is possible to select several fields with the checkbox in front of them and drag them collectively to the masks.

Additional search field for field names

Only in this screen mask there is a search field Field name in the upper area, which can be used to search immediately over all additional fields.
Here, however, the search with search operators does not take effect, but the field name must be entered directly.
As soon as a match is found, all fields that begin like the written field are displayed in the lower area.

Generally the number of additional fields is not limited. If too many of them are used the performance can decrease.

image2019-3-6_14-33-35-20240327-074157.png Delete fields

Use this button to delete one or more selected objects.

  • Objects can be removed with the DEL key on your keyboard.

Deleted fields are in the data pool

The fields deleted from the mask are moved back to the field selection of the corresponding table they belong to - they are not gone, just removed.

After the fields clearing process select the Add button in Functions.

In the screen/table where the fields were deleted, they are available for further use.

  • They can be dragged back into the mask as described under Add fields.

Export and import mask

With these buttons and masks can be exported and imported.

This enables CargoSoft to export and inspect a customer's mask to change or repair it, if necessary.

The edited mask can be imported again.

To export a mask, use the Export mask button. This opens a window where you can specify the save location.

If you want to import a mask you have to switch to the edit mode. As you can see the toolbox, select the Import mask button. This opens a window where you can select the file.

Leave the edit mode. The imported mask is now available in the tab control. The mask name is generated from the import file name.

If an import mask is imported multiple times, it is not overwritten, but its name is supplemented with numbers. (import-mask, import-mask(1), import-mask(2) etc.)

image2019-3-13_15-5-10-20240327-074208.png Tab order

With this button you can specify the order of the fields that the cursor jumps to, when you press the TAB key whilst editing the order.

Pressing this button opens a window, where you can bring the objects of the current active mask in any order.

The thin arrows move the selected objects one row up or down.

  • The thick arrows move the selected objects to the beginning or the end of the list.

If you select multiple entries from the list and click Sort selection, all selected entries are collected at the uppermost position and sorted in the current mask.

I.e. the mask editor hits line by line from left to right and sorts the input order roughly.

This function is designed to hold together complete object blocks, when they are moved to another tab.

For example: The address block from the Header data tab is pasted onto the Statistic tab.

When opening the window Edit Taborder, the fields are sorted like this:

The fields are listed in the incorrect order. Jumps with the TAB key would not be correct.

  • With a click on Sort selection the selected fields will be taken together. So the tab order of address block A1 is restored like it is on the Maindata tab.

  • If you select an entry from the list, the corresponding object is selected in the mask.
→ This works in both directions. If you mark an object in the mask editor, the corresponding entry in the Edit Taborder window is selected.

  • Only the fields you can interact within the order are displayed. Gray highlighted fields are not listed.

Automatic Line spacing

With this button it is possible to align the spacing of object automatically.

If you have selected several objects when you edit a mask, click this button to align the line spacing.
The line spacing of objects is set to 2 pixels.

Note: This works only if one object per column is selected. If more than one is selected, it can happen that the object slide over each other.

Undo

With this button you can undo the last 20 changes made to the mask.

Deleted fields are not set back to the mask. You have to put them back manually.
