This page was created to help you to correct a B/L syntax error.
For each point in the following list, there is a link to the corresponding page in the online documentation. We hope that this information will help to solve the error.
Â
Please check the following issues / error causes in the concerned position in CargoSoft or the master data:
Â
Container number is missing in the goods description.
→ Page in OnlineDocumentation: Goods description B/L
→ Page in OnlineDocumentation: Container tab - ZAPP fields
Formatting errors can also cause this message.
This can occur if a file is copied directly from another file (e-mail, PDF, Excel, etc.) and pasted into the address or goods description in CargoSoft.
These include special characters and spaces as well as line breaks that are not directly visible.
As a solution we recommend retyping the goods description manually to avoid formatting errors.
The specified systemic field length is exceeded by a line break, for example. The field length can be identified by pressing the key combination ctrl + shift + 7 when clicking in the corresponding field.
Dangerous goods shipments: the UN number is interchanged with the IMDG code.

Â
The flashpoint is not recorded in four digits.
Correctly: +001Â (e.g.)
If 0, +000 must be entered.

The content regarding the first and second level is not correctly entered.
First level: ONLY Container number, quantity 1, packaging code

The B/L is sent as 'containerised' ('container in container').
This happens if house files have been created and a container has been stored in it.
