Basic data setup
This tab is always displayed as the last sub tab. It must be given an unequivocal name per client by the admin.
The name can be entered in the Description field in the basic data COMPANY → GENERAL COMPANY PARAMETER → COMPANY MAIN DATA.
The first 10 characters of this field are displayed on the customer-specific tab.

The tab name is displayed empty if no name has been assigned.
The customer-specific additional fields can for example be used in forms and Bs/L.
On this tab you can configure additional order fields and even define them as required fields.
The names for the additional fields on this can can be defined in basic data ORDERS → ADDITIONAL FIELDS.
You can also record a description for the additional field for the respective order sector, main department and sub department.
Activate the checkbox to define this field as a required field.
Required fields
If an admin has defined a field as a required field in the basic data, it is displayed in the usual color for required fields (green by default).
Use customer codes with links and plausibility checks
CargoSoft has developed a standardized solution for the use of specific basic data in the order processing: Customer codes.
Data, texts, descriptions, values, etc. can be recorded, separated by different groups, via a basic data program and these data can be linked with additional fields. These fields can be equipped with individual properties, e.g. search masks, required entries or basic data access.
The additional tab provides access to these basic data from the order processing.
Usage in the order entry
Main tab Order → sub tab (customer-specific tab name)→ here: CargoSoft
On this company-specific additional tab the configured fields become available after the next login or change of client.
Access the search mask via double click into the field.
Press F3 or click on the Search button to start the search.
Select and accept an entry from the search result-
It is furthermore possible to activate the plausibility check for additional fields.
Upon data entry, CargoSoft checks whether these data exist in the basic data.
→ Otherwise the system issues a message.
Search mask header
The search mask can be customized as well.
The header shows Search for … by default.Â
The ellipsis can be replaced by a specific term, which can be configured in the customer codes.
To do so, create a dataset with the following information:

Configure the header for the search mask:
The search mask will display the recorded heading after the order processing is reopened.
Additional fields in the form generator
Additional fields can also be used in form and B/L templates.
They constitute an entry in the field list on the Layout tab.
