Enter container - use levels
Summary of the most important Dakosy rules concerning the entry of the goods description:
Container | → first level |
ONLY: container no., quantity 1, packaging code | |
Contents | → second level |
Marks, no. of packages, type of packages, description, weight |
On the first level, enter only the container number, the quantity (= 1) and the packaging code - optionally in the content column [S.T.C.].
The container number is transmitted in the DAKOSY format (without hyphens or blank spaces) on the Container tab - ZAPP fields.
The UN code for the container is pre-assigned (e.g. 20G0) based on its entry in basic data Packaging codes in ORDER.All other information such as contents, freight prepaid/collect as text, marks, weights, etc. must be entered on the second level.
NO text lines are transmitted from level 1.Attention: The weight is also entered on level 2. Especially in case of multiple packaging files, the weight will otherwise be copied from level 1 in every file of level 2 - this may result in duplicate weights.
→ ALWAYS enter the weights per packaging file at level 2.
Level 1
On the first level, enter the container number, the quantity (for containers: only quantity = 1 per packaging line), the packaging code and the weight.
The contents may be filled with [S.T.C.] for the B/L.
→ NO text lines are transmitted form level 1.
These are details and marks of the so-called outer packaging - the container. Its contents must be entered on level 2.
The container number is displayed on the Container tab in the DAKOSY format (without hyphens and blank spaces) and transmitted accordingly. The UN code for the container is pre-assigned as well (e.g. 20G0).
These details are recorded in your basic data and are loaded automatically if entered correctly.
Level 2
All information about the packages in the container must be entered on level 2.
This includes themarks of the packages,
the quantity,
the packaging code,
contents
potential weights - if they have not yet been entered on the first level,
freight payability
etc.
Per packaging line, a weight must be entered on level 2.
The field Container ISO code for B/L- and BHT-transmission in basic data Packaging codes in ORDERÂ must be filled with a valid value.
Enter LCL cargo
Goods description LCL on the first level
All shipment details are entered on the 1st level - both the packaging files as well as additional information and remarks for the B/L.
A weight must be entered for every packaging line – quantity, packaging code and weight form a package line!
At the first level, enter both the package items and other remarks and comments.
For consolidation containers
The entered House B/Ls are combined in the main file (Consol) in the tab Order → Consolidation, which is transmitted to Dakosy.
→ The entered House B/Ls are automatically moved to the 2nd level.
If data are NOT to be transmitted from the B-version of the House B/L as an Ocean B/L, goods description version [S] must be used in the file of the House B/L instead.
On the Consolidation tab you can remove House B/Ls that are no longer required or add new ones. The same applies to the single/main file.
Special Equipment
Tank container
This requires working with the muss mit der 2nd level.
Container no. and packaging code T2/T4 on the 1st level, entry on the 2nd level with quantity 1 and packaging code UL (UnitLoad).
FCL and breakbulk on a B/L
In this case, the breakbulk shipment must be entered BEFORE the containers.Â
Dangerous goods information in the B/L
The details entered on the Dangerous goods tab in Dakosy have no effect on the B/L entry.
Send B/L: Dakosy only intends the transmission in the HDS for the handling when sending the dangerous goods details.
Print B/L: Dangerous goods details that are to appear in the B/L are entered at the relevant place in the goods description.

Order for sending and printing
For the B/L transmission, the system uses the goods description version that you have used for your B/L data. However, there is a specific order for sending and printing if certain versions are not available.
Version M is displayed by default when you open the goods description for the first time.
Click on another version to switch versions in the explorer section.
The goods descriptions are displayed on the right side – in the entry section.
O → B → M → HÂ
→ First, the system uses version O for the B/L transmission.Â
→ If this version is now filled, CargoSoft uses version B.
→ If version B is not filled, either, version M is used for transmission instead.
→ H takes last priority. The S-version for consol container shipments is not implicated in the B/L print of a master.
Short display of the quantity and package units
If a goods description version is filled, a plus/minus button is displayed next to the version.
Only details of level 1 and level 2 are displayed.
This is the container number for FCL,
Â
and the no. of packages and the packaging code for LCL.
Enter dangerous goods details
Please make sure to attach your dangerous goods details to the correct version (to the version that is to be transmitted to Dakosy).
If, for example, version B is available, the Dakosy B/L data must be attached to the B-version because this is the first one to be used for the B/L print.
If the goods description including the dangerous goods details have been entered in a different version by accident, it is still possible to copy the goods description into another version.
→ You can select whether or not customs, dangerous goods, and container details are to be copied as well.     Â
