Export to GLA

If the ECM is used together with the TMS, the master data is created and maintained in the GLA by exporting the master data from the TMS to the GLA.
→ The leading system is TMS.
→ That means basic data is exported from TMS to GLA, but there is no back synchronization from GLA to TMS.

At a specified time after the GLA Enterprise Condition Management including CargoService has been installed, CargoSoft triggers the initial transfer of all basic data ONE TIME.

If changes are saved in the TMS basic data, these will be identified via a trigger and exported to GLA.
The transmission interval is set to 1 minute by default.
If data was sent to GLA, the field Last Change is filled or updated.
If billing codes are deleted in the TMS, no export to the GLA is triggered.

Hint: image-20240403-175451.png
The billing codes in the master data should generally never be deleted, but a check mark should be set at Deactivated:
Otherwise, problems will occur throughout the workflow, as billign codes are normally found in every position.

The billing code then remains available, but is no longer selectable or displayed when searching in a file.

Saving an address with the classification GLA triggers the export to GLA.
You can save an address either with the Save icon in the header or via File → Save. You also have the option to save the address by closing it and confirming the query.

The master data can either apply to all clients or be stored client-dependently.

Transmit TMS basic data to GLA/ECM

These basic data can be exported to ECM:

When you start using the application basic data can be entered once initially into ECM.

  • Please contact the CargoSoft support to ensure that, for instance, the flag for the export to GLA in the database is set for all airports.

  • You also have the option to activate every single existing or newly created dataset separately for the export to GLA (provided that the authorization for the basic data is available).
This has the advantage that only these specific datasets will be exported to GLA.

Address export from TMS to GLA

If ECM is used in combination with TMS, you can enter and maintain addresses n TMS and send the data to GLA via an exporter.
→ The leading system is TMS.
→ Basic data from TMS are exported to GLA. There is no synchronization from GLA back to TMS.

All data from the Address tab and contact persons from the Partner tab in ADDRESSES will be exported.

The address export from TMS to ECM requires address classifications as well as a partner for the transmission.

ADMIN → EDI → EDI Partner

An EDI partner must be recorded in the TMS basic data in order for the address synchronization to work.

Description

The EDI partner is SCM.

TMS Classifications

These classifications are a preqrequisite for the synchronization and the corresponding features in the addresses (companies) in ECM.

The classifications for the addresses must be stored in the master data.

You create possible classifications in ADDRESSES → CLASSIFICATIONS.

The following classifications are required:

  1. To enable the export of the address to ECM: GLA = Export to GLA

  2. To enable the features of the address in ECM:

AIR

Airline

BAR

CAR

CHB

CHS

COB

Classify an address

An address that is to be transmitted to GLA requires the classification GLA as well as the entry of the classifications necessary for GLA.

Open ADDRESS → Classification sub tab in General tab in ADDRESSES.

Convert address

An address conversation in the TMS (change of address number) is considered in the ECM.

The existing address number in the company of the EDI partner will be replaced by the new address number (COMPANIES → ADDRESSES).Â
