Department mapping in ADMIN

Authorization object: STAABTZUORD

IMPORTANT NOTE: The department mapping only works if the master data departments, employees, number ranges are configured accordingly.
The number ranges in this case if the departments are part of the file number definition.

Create new department mapping

Create a new data set via the context menu by clicking Add line or Insert line.

A line is added at the respective position and an empty record with the fields Main department, Sub department, Mode and Sector is added in the lower area.

Department assignment for new positions

The department assignment is used to control which combinations between MD and SD are allowed upon Create a new file.

These are provided in the Main and Subdivision fields as a drop-down list.

Disabled department mapping

All departments are listed as combinations with the main department.

Enabled department mapping

This function is activated in the GENERAL COMPANY PARAMETERS → ORDER DATA 2 → checkbox Use department mapping. 

If this function is activated, only main and sub-departments that have been assigned in the department assignments will be offered when creating a new order.
