Interface for BAM dangerous goods data
There exists an interface to import BAM dangerous goods data (BAM = Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung)
With this interface it is possible to import dangerous goods on the basis of an excel sheet to the CargoSoft TMS.
The imported data are divided in ADR, IMDG and RID - the source is BAM.
The administration of the dangerous goods data is located in the basic data ORDER → DANGEROUS GOODS INFORMATION SYSTEM.
Please be aware, that this is service is liable to costs.

Fields in the header
Field | Description |

Hazardous legislation | Selection of the hazardous legislation (IMDG, ADR, RID) for the dataset from the dropdown list. |
UN number | Field for the entry of the (4-digit) UN number. |
Valid from/to | Two date fields for the entry of the validity. The system checks the validity against the current date upon when you search and accept dangerous goods classes into the goods description of the order. Datasets that are expired at that time cannot be used. |
Technical name | Two text lines for the entry of the full technical name |
NAG | Checkbox (filled by the interface upon data import); valid for all hazardous legislations (ADR, IMDG and RID). If the checkbox NAG is activated in the basic data, the field Hazard inducer (gis_t.gfgut_ausloeser_1) in the order becomes a required field. |
Dangerous goods in the order
In the order processing, dangerous goods data are sorted by the field Hazardous goods. You can search for the dangerous goods by entering the following:
Seafreight → IMDG → UN no. or IMDG class
Road → ADR → UN no. or ADR class
Airfreight → Dangerous goods information system → DGR class → UN no.
Road ADR
The dangerous goods information system in the basic data has been adjusted for the use in the Road module.
If you select ADR in the field Hazardous legislation, the layout of the mask changes and additional fields for the Road sector appear, such as for entry of the name in German, English, and French as well as the tunnel constraint code.
The dangerous goods basic data are usually imported into the system via interfaces.
